ARC believes that every person has the power within themselves to recover. If you have failed to gain control of your addiction in the past, this doesn’t mean that you cannot learn to gain control of it now. Our group strives to help others to recognize and understand this through education, motivation, and encouragement.
The purpose of recovery is not merely to become sober. More crucially, recovery is about learning better coping and life skills, strengthening self-control, setting and attaining goals, and living a happier, more fulfilling life. We all have the ability to achieve this. We here at ARC believe that recovery is an individual responsibility, and that by using the help we offer along with other addiction resources, any person can indeed learn to gain control of both their addiction and their life, and to reach the goals they have set out for themselves.
